Amazon Dropshipping

As part of my journey to find a consistent and profitable side-hustle I will be looking into dropshipping on Amazon. This is an area where I do have a background and previous experience so if all the numbers add up and if I have eligible for setting up an Amazon seller account I will be delving into it further.

I used to handle Amazon sales in Dubai at the company I work in a few years back, it was later transferring to another colleague of mine. We do have a good Amazon team and so I’m quite familiar with the process. As with all websites and platforms a main part of selling on Amazon is to have high quality images along with clear and comprehensive descriptions and product features. And of course fulfillment, customer service and a product that is up to standard is key to avoid high return rates and negative reviews.

I will be looking to dropship products from China and sell them on Amazon US and Canada. Dropshipping usually means long delivery times which is something I never opt for when purchasing on Amazon. I always check that the items are being shipped from inside Canada to avoid long delivery times. Usually dropshipped products on Amazon could take up to a month to arrive however I will be working with a shipping partner in China who ships orders through DHL and promises a delivery time of 6–8 working days to USA and Canada. All I need to do now is to see if I’m eligible for opening an Amazon seller account, and to find unique products that customers would be willing to wait 6–8 days for as opposed to same day or next day delivery when purchasing products that are shipped from within Canada or US.

So dropshipping on Amazon can be a viable option if you get the product and delivery time right. I will be looking more into this and post my updates.
