There’s More To What Influencers Can Do Than Just ‘Influencing’

I was doing the rounds on Youtube searching for tips on creating video content for Ads and promoting my products and came across a really good tip which I thought would be worth sharing with you.

Having a catchy video and something that gets the viewer to stop scrolling and continue watching your Ad is key when selling online and promoting yourself or your material. The music should be upbeat or resonate with the type of product or service you are offering, the message should get your prospect excited and enticed by the offer and at the same time it can’t be too long since these days we all have much shorter attentions spans.

The current video which I have for my funnel is unfortunately not up to mark, it was not shot professionally as I tried having it be done by the factory where I’m sourcing my products from so obviously they were not able to do a good job as that is not their field of expertise. I have decided to ship all samples to Canada and find people here who can create video content for me. But who should I look for, an agency? A freelancer videographer? How about the models and staging?

I decided to go on Youtube in search of answers and came across a video posted by Gabriel St-Germain who has a lot of informative videos on Youtube for those interested in eCommerce and Dropshipping, but his strategies and tactics can also be used for other businesses and purposes as well. The way he makes his own product video content is by reaching out to Influencers on social media, preferably those with a lower number of following compared to the major influencers in that market, and asks them to shoot videos or make tutorials for him. These influencers are already quite good at creating content and videos for their own pages so they have all the tools and know-how of producing good video content and you don’t even need to have them post it on their page. This way you won’t incur the additional costs of an influencer post, but you will be utilizing their skills for creating videos and content and negotiate a good deal.

Next, once you have your video content you can split them up into different parts using video editing tools like inshot and a software called Animoto for sequencing the videos, editing timeframes, adding watermarks and so on.

So this was quite an interesting hack for me, finding the people who already create videos and content on the daily, who already know all the best angles and lighting and what the audience is interesting in seeing and having them produce your video content.
